Effective Internal Communication (Workplace communication)

In the workplace, effective communication is critical. You can’t create new goods, deliver outstanding services, engage workers, or meet consumer requirements without it. It’s the secret to running a successful organization. Here are two crucial internal communication principles that must not be neglected.

The behaviours of leaders largely influence employee engagement. Leaders also have a direct impact on an organization’s degree of trust. A business trust is at an all-time low, thanks to a series of corporate scandals. Leaders must work harder than ever to earn the trust of their employees, just as they must with their other stakeholders (Berger, 2008). As a result, one of the critical elements of effective internal communication is leadership positions, which should not be overlooked.

The second principle is the participation and recognition of all workers. Encourage employee engagement in decision-making to increase loyalty and dedication and enhance the general communication atmosphere. Participatory decision-making frequently enhances decision quality. Acknowledging and celebrating accomplishments at all levels contributes to developing shared values and a sense of organizational identity (Berger, 2008). Similar social activities, ceremonies, and rituals add to and reflect the unique culture of an organization.

At Quinter Organization, where I happened to be a worker, the CEO preferred to have the voice of all employees count in decision making. At times, we were required to vote, and the majority vote opinion was implemented. This gave employees a sense of belonging, confidence in the leadership and motivation to be more productive.
